Nina Katz

Nina Katz is a poet, playwright and performer born and based in Toronto, Canada. She is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto and is pursuing an MFA in Playwriting at the University of Guelph. Her play, Three Plays and a Conversation, won a Merit Award for Playwriting at Hart House Drama Festival 2024, and her play Soufflé was featured in Theatre of the Beat’s Emerging Producer’s Festival 2024. Nina’s poetry is published in journals such as Acta Victoriana and the Trinity Review. She is passionate about the beauty of humour and loves exploring how it can be used to lighten or darken a piece. She hopes she can make her audience laugh and then feel sort of bad for laughing.
