Thank you to all who attended our recent fundraiser, The Paper Bag Princess Effect. It was an inspiring evening discussing the critical need for children’s literacy and student-author connection in schools and reading at home.
We heard from local literary luminaries including children’s authors Kathy Stinson and Kira Vermond, Guelph librarian Ben Robinson, Munsch muse Gah-Ning Tang, Sya Vangeest of the Guelph Guild of Storytellers and Elizabeth May, leader of the Federal Green Party.
Delicious bites were lovingly created by Caraway Culinary and music was performed by Dale Bonnet.
The event raised over $2500 for the festival, allowing us to connect even more children with local authors.
