A book review by James (7)

Hi, James! Can you tell us what this book is about?

Raymond the Buffalo is a book about friendship. It stars a buffalo in a book who comes alive and likes to eat lemony pickles. One day he loses his best friend and then many, many, many years later they find each other again.

What do you like about this book?

I think Raymond the Buffalo is a cool book. It was fun to read, and it even has dinosaurs in it. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

What is your favourite part of the story?

My favorite part of the book is when Raymond eats a bottle of lemony pickles. I found this very funny. Who eats lemony pickles?

What do you like about the illustrations?

The pictures in the book are nice and simple which helps if you are not a great reader. I also think the pictures are very funny and have cool captions.

Why should kids read this book?

I think kids should read this book because it helps to explain that even if you lose a friendship, you can get it back one day.

If you could ask the author or illustrator a question, what would it be?

If I could meet the author one day I would ask if she likes animals. Oh and how did she come up with this cool idea for a book?

Thank you very much, James.
