Position Title: Golf Cart Jockey

Overview: A Golf Cart Jockey helps transport the visitors of the Eden Mills Writers’ festival to and from different areas of the festival.

Location: Eden Mills, Ontario

Roles and Responsibilities

Overview of the tasks for the position of a Golf Cart Jockey

  • Transport festival patrons to and from destinations
  • Ensure the safety of patrons when providing a ride on the golf cart
  • Recharge carts when not in use
  • Respond to radio requests for assistance
  • Help out with other tasks as assigned

Time Commitment: 2 to 3 hour commitment during the day of the festival

Position Commitment: If accepted as a volunteer, you are required to show up on time for your shift on the day of the festival and complete all required tasks to the best of  your ability.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Previous experience working or volunteering at a festival or event an asset
  • Previous experience in providing customer service
  • Have a people person personality, ability to carry a conversation
  • Must have and provide proof of a valid ‘G ‘licence for this position
