Colleen Nelson is a teacher and an award-winning YA author. Her first book, Tori by Design, the story of a teen interested in pursuing fashion design, won the McNally Robinson Young Adult Book Award as did her second book, the thrilling The Fall. Her next books, 250 Hours and Finding Hope, took on tough issues like discrimination, drug addiction and sexual abuse. Her latest book, Blood Brothers, focuses on two teens, Jakub and Lincoln, who are as close as brothers, and their changing relationship as Lincoln is lured into his older brother’s gang.
Colleen spends many early mornings drinking strong coffee and crafting her stories. She lives in Winnipeg with her husband and two children.
